It's amazing what a single weekend can do for your NBA Rookie of the Year candidacy.
Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg reclaimed the lead in one of the most tightly contested races in recent memory by scoring 96 points over two games. The outburst included a 51-point performance against the Orlando Magic and a 45-point, eight-rebound, nine-assist outing against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Those two games were enough to move Flagg's flagging odds from +230 to -200, allowing him to leapfrog over his former Duke teammate, Kon Knueppel.
