A 5-year-old child drowned early Saturday morning in southeastern Alabama, authorities said.
Around 6 a.m. Saturday, Geneva County sheriff’s deputies and Samson EMS personnel responded to a 911 call of a drowning of a 5-year-old child at a home in the western part of the county, near Kingston, said Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson.
