The San Francisco 49ers officially announced their coaching hires and title changes. A lot of these are already known. However, six coaches will have new titles. Here’s the entire list:

Angel Matute – Defensive Quality Control

Raheem Morris – Defensive Coordinator

Clemmons, Graves, Hankerson, Holland, Schwartz, Webster, and Wright will all have new titles in 2026.

Clemmons spent the previous two seasons as the team’s assistant offensive line coach.

Graves spent the previous four seasons as the team’s offensive assistant. He was listed as the quarterbacks coach last season.

Hankerson had been the wide receiver coach since 2021. Passing game coordinator is a title that multiple offensive coordinators have held before being promoted.

This will be the first time since 2017 that Holland won’t be coaching linebackers.

Schwartz gets promoted to a specific position after spending the previous four seasons as an offensive quality control coach.

Webster was also previously an offensive quality control coach for three seasons. He’s ascending quickly up the coaching ranks. Webster was a graduate assistant for the University of Wisconsin as recently as 2022.

Lastly, Wright takes over for Holland after spending the previous two seasons as a defensive quality control coach. Wright has future defensive coordinator written all over him.
