60% of people with Alzheimer’s will wander — here’s what one Alabama county is doing about it

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America has awarded a grant to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to help expand its Project Lifesaver Program.

The grant gives the sheriff’s office $6,000 to use for training and to purchase additional batteries, bands and other items.
