Advocates rally for bill to set standards for dogs confined outdoors

Animal welfare advocates and lawmakers led a rally outside the Alabama State House on Tuesday in support of a bill that would set standards for dogs confined outdoors.

The bill, SB361 by Sen. Garlan Gudger, R-Cullman, would be Alabama’s first statewide law requiring clear, enforceable standards for dogs kept outdoors, according to supporters of the legislation.
