Alabama gay bar opening new location where 4 died in Birmingham mass shooting

Almost a year after the failed opening of Opulence Drag Lounge & Taqueria at the former site of the Hush Lounge, Kyle Richardson is again looking to bring a queer space to Five Points South.

Richardson, owner of popular Tuscaloosa gay bar Icon, announced in a March 25 Facebook post that a second location, Icon Birmingham, would be coming to Five Points as early as next month.
