West Alabama officials say they will begin meeting to chart a course ahead after Thursday’s announcement of the expected closure of Tuscaloosa’s BF Goodrich plant.
The tire factory in Tuscaloosa will begin the process of closing in 2027, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, cutting jobs for about 1,200 employees.
