A fire weather watch was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 10:57 a.m. valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay and Randolph counties.
Residents can expect winds to be south 10 to 15 mph. Gusts may be as high as 20 mph and relative humidity as low as 24%.
