Alabama’s pre-K program is getting 64 new classrooms: Here's where they will be

Gov. Kay Ivey announced Monday that preschools across Alabama will see 64 new classrooms for the 2026-27 school year.

The new classrooms expand the state’s First Class Pre-K program’s reach, which offers early education that prepares 4-year-olds to successfully transition into kindergarten.
