Alabama schools dismissing early due to severe weather threat on Wednesday, May 6

As Alabama prepares for the possibility of significant severe weather this afternoon, some schools have announced early dismissals.

The National Weather Service said tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and heavy rain will be possible in the state from Wednesday afternoon until late Thursday morning.
