Alabama Supreme Court rules sheriff’s race ended in tie nearly four years after election

The Alabama Supreme Court Friday revived a challenge to the results of the 2022 Conecuh County sheriff’s face.

The court reversed a ruling by the Conecuh County Circuit Court which decided Randy Brock was the winner of the sheriff’s race, meaning the election more than three years ago ended in a tie between current Sheriff Randy Brock and challenger Maxwell “Mike” Blackmon.
