Alabama under a dense fog advisory Sunday – visibility down to 1/4 mile

The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory at 8:44 p.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Chilton, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.

The weather service informs, "Visibility one quarter mile or less at times in dense fog."
