Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overrule a lower court and allow the state to proceed with a special primary using a Republican-favored congressional map.
Marshall asked for an emergency stay of an injunction issued Tuesday by a three-judge district court that blocked Alabama’s use of the map passed by the Legislature in 2023.
