An Anderson, Ala., woman was killed Friday afternoon in Lauderdale County when the car she was driving left the road and overturned, according to State Trooper Jaylon James with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Nadine W. Higgs, 72, died in the 2:10 p.m. crash. Her car struck a mailbox and embankment before flipping and hitting a tree, the trooper said. Higgs, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
