Army releases retirement rules

A U.S. Army service member applying for voluntary retirement must do so between 12 and 24 months before the requested date, according to an April 17 memo from Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, titled, “Permanent Change to Timeline for Requesting Voluntary Retirement From Active Service.”
