Beloved “Growing Pains” actress dies at age 100

Betty McGuire, the actress remembered by many TV fans as grandmother Kate Malone on the ABC comedy “Growing Pains,” has died. She was 100. McGuire died Oct. 8 of natural causes at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s campus in Woodland Hills, California, according to Variety. Keith Gerchak, her power of attorney, confirmed her death.
