Reports emerged over draft weekend that Bo Nix needed some cleanup on his ankle. We got narratives that it was planned and expected, but also got conflicting reports that this type of cleanup isn’t usually expected. However, it also isn’t unusual.

Well, now we have a little video content showing Nix running on that ankle and, frankly, he looks fine in his rehab.

The caveat is that this is likely taken before the cleanup work, but even so, he looks like he is coming back from the injury quite nicely. I don’t feel like there is anything to worry about here and head coach Sean Payton agreed.

“Yes,” Payton said on draft weekend. “He had a recheck that was scheduled. He’s doing great. We’re excited about his progress. Nothing to report.”

Whether or not we see Bo Nix participating in these May-June team activities is unknown, but given the progress here I don’t see why they would work him out outside of his continued rehab. They care about getting Nix back for training camp, not for these early offseason OTA dates.

We’ll see how it goes, though.
