Hurricane isaias caused property damage throughout Brewton, Ala., on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026. Included in that damage was a blown out front window at Drexell & Honeybee's Restaurant, a donation-only eatery. The window had been in place since 1955, according to restaurant co-owner Lisa McMillan. She said the plans included placing a tarp over the window until a new one could be installed. She said the restaurant would be operating again once power was restored.

For the past nine years, Drexell & Honeybee’s Restaurant has served Brewton and the surrounding area through a donations-only business model.
