We have reached the quarterfinals of our Caleb Madness bracket, where you, the Bears fan, determine Caleb Williams’ best play of the 2025 season.
We have finished the voting in the round of 16 and have moved on to the Elite 8, where we have two matchups today to see our first two plays that reach our Final Four.
As a reminder, we will have two Elite 8 matchups today, and two Elite 8 matchups on Tuesday. One final four matchup on Wednesday, and one Final Four matchup on Thursday. The championship game will be a week from today.
Let’s take a look at today’s matchups:
Jahdae Walker game-tying TD vs GB, VS Cole Kmet game-tying TD vs Rams
This should be an interesting matchup because these are arguably the fans’ two favorite plays of the year. The Walker throw was with great anticipation, and the Kmet throw, well, what can you say about the Kmet throw? As we have been doing, here are videos of the two plays and the tweet to vote on them.
Jahdae Walker Game-Tying Catch vs Packers
This one has already gotten lost a little, thanks to what Caleb did not too long after this one, and some might say, “Yeah, it’s great, but he was wide open.” That’s true, he did finish wide open, but if you look at where Walker was when Caleb released the football, you’ll realize that he broke open after the throw and was covered by two Packers at the release point. Williams saw it and delivered it, despite being under significant pressure.
Game-Tying Heave to Cole Kmet vs Rams
The only way that could make this play better is if the Bears had ended up winning the game. Everything else about this is absolutely insane. It’s so damn improbable. It still defies logic that it happened. Had the Bears won this game, I think this play eclipses “The Catch” as the greatest non-Super Bowl play in NFL history.

Here is matchup two:
Luther Burden Flea Flicker VS DJ Moore “The Catch II”
This is a fascinating matchup. When the Burden play happened, our jaw was on the floor, but we didn’t know what was in store for us the next few months. The Moore play was just an incredible play that mimicked NFL history.
Flea Flicker to Luther Burden vs Cowboys
Watching this play live, you would have thought this play easily would have been one of the top 3 plays of the season, but by the end of the year, it was just part of the insanity that is Caleb Williams. You don’t think about it much at this point, but this Bears game was critical to the Bears’ turnaround. Who knows what happens if they fall to 0-3? Williams’ coralling of the subpar pitch is what makes this one even more special.
DJ Moore “The Catch II” vs Browns
Caleb Williams’ throw in this one mimicked arguably the most legendary throw and catch in NFL history, Joe Montana to Dwight Clark, “The Catch.” Moore snags the ball in the back corner of the end zone as the ball is just out of reach of a Browns defender.
