California Democrat demands FBI not release records tying him to suspected Chinese spy

Lawyers for a Democratic congressman who is one of the leading candidates for California governor issued a warning to Kash Patel that the FBI director would be breaking the law if he follows through on his threat to release records from an old investigation involving the representative and a suspected Chinese spy.
