Sexy Drill Pioneer Prepares Fans for ‘Party With Slizzy’ and Upcoming Los Angeles Blue Note Performances
Fresh off announcing a pair of highly anticipated live-band performances at Los Angeles’ iconic Blue Note on June 16, Bronx hitmaker Cash Cobain returns with the official video for his infectious new single, “I Wanna Rock,” released via GIANT Music.
Featuring a special cameo from Miami Bass legend Uncle Luke, the visual captures the energy, confidence, and culture that have made Cash Cobain one of the most influential artists shaping modern hip-hop. The video offers fans a front-row seat into the world of the self-proclaimed “Slizzy King,” blending vibrant nightlife scenes with the carefree spirit that fuels his rapidly expanding movement.
Built around a sample of Uncle Luke’s classic Miami Bass sound, “I Wanna Rock” finds Cash continuing to push beyond the boundaries of the sexy drill genre he helped pioneer. The upbeat, dance-ready anthem delivers an early glimpse into his forthcoming sophomore album, Party With Slizzy, scheduled for release later this summer.
“The party starts now,” says Cash Cobain about the upcoming project.
The new album is being crafted alongside legendary producer Mike Dean, who mixed and mastered “I Wanna Rock,” signaling another major step forward in Cash’s artistic evolution. The single arrives just in time for what fans have come to recognize as “Slizzy Summer,” setting the tone for a season filled with energetic records, viral moments, and unforgettable performances.
Cash Cobain’s momentum continues to accelerate following a landmark year that included collaborations with Drake, Justin Bieber, and Cardi B, along with a string of successful releases including “Feeeeeeeeel,” “Sick N Tired,” “Trippin On A Yacht,” and “Hoes Be Mad 2.0.”
His breakout project, Play Cash Cobain, and its smash hit “Fisherrr” featuring Bay Swag and Ice Spice, elevated him into hip-hop’s upper tier, earning recognition from major publications including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Pitchfork, NPR, Vulture, and The New York Times, which named the song the No. 1 track of 2024.
Beyond the music, Cash Cobain’s rise has been marked by sold-out performances, a 2024 XXL Freshman selection, BET Award nominations, an Apple Music Up Next feature, and national television appearances that introduced millions to his unmistakable sound.
With “I Wanna Rock,” Cash Cobain once again demonstrates why he remains one of the most exciting artists driving the next generation of hip-hop. As anticipation builds for Party With Slizzy, the Bronx native continues proving that the Slizzy Movement is only getting bigger.
“I Wanna Rock” is available now on all streaming platforms. Fans can also catch Cash Cobain live with a full band at Blue Note Los Angeles on June 16.
