A tobacco manufacturing company plans to lay off 54 workers from its factory in Alabama by May, according to a notice filed with the state.
European company Swedish Match announced the layoffs in Dothan in an April 1 notice posted online this week. The layoffs at the facility located at 700 Columbia Highway are planned for May 31, per the notice.
