Rising independent artist Darius Martin is stepping into a bold new era with the official premiere of his cinematic music video for “Sweet Lies,” now live on YouTube. The visually striking release arrives with early support from BET and sets the tone for what is shaping up to be Martin’s most ambitious rollout to date.
“Sweet Lies” is powered by the hitmaking duo Cool & Dre, whose résumé includes collaborations with artists such as Lil Wayne, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Queen Latifah. The single is featured on Martin’s album Sorry No More, a genre-blending project that moves seamlessly across alt-R&B, Afrobeats, pop, and hip-hop.
