Multi-platinum dance music icon Crystal Waters announces multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, and Broadway producer Deborah Cox as the latest artist joining I AM HOUSE Orchestrated, taking place Thursday, November 19, 2026, at Palladium Times Square in New York City. Cox joins Waters alongside Billy Porter, CeCe Peniston, Barbara Tucker, Inaya Day, Duane Harden, Thea Austin, Amuka and DJ Spen for the orchestral celebration of house and dance music.

A powerhouse vocalist whose career spans R&B, dance music and theater, Cox has earned 13 No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. Her catalog includes “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” “We Can’t Be Friends,” “Absolutely Not,” and her celebrated duet with Whitney Houston, “Same Script, Different Cast.” Her multi-platinum sophomore album, One Wish, featured “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here,” which spent a historic 14 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Discovered by Clive Davis and signed to Arista Records in 1994, Cox has built a three-decade career across music and the stage. In 2022, she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, becoming the first Black woman to receive the honor. Her theatrical career includes the title role in Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, Jekyll & Hyde on Broadway, Josephine, the North American tour of The Bodyguard, starring as Glinda and co-producing the revival of The Wiz—earning a 2025 Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album—and appearing in Tony-nominated Titanique as Molly Brown.

Deborah Cox shares, “Dance music has been such an important part of my career, so I’m thrilled to join Crystal and this incredible lineup for I AM HOUSE Orchestrated. It’s an honor to share the stage with artists who have helped shape house music, and I can’t wait to celebrate alongside them!”

Cox’s addition follows the recent announcement of Emmy, Grammy and three-time Tony Award winner Billy Porter, who will also take the stage on November 19. The Pose and Kinky Boots star brings his own connection to the dance floor, including the Billboard Dance Club Songs No. 1 “Love Yourself” and his Defected Records collaboration “Finally Ready” with The Shapeshifters.

Created by Waters, I AM HOUSE Orchestrated reimagines the songs, voices and legacy of house music with a full live orchestra, bringing together artists whose records helped shape dance floors across generations. The November performance marks the production’s first anniversary, following its sold-out New York City debut at Sony Hall and a celebrated Miami Music Week edition.

The expanding lineup comes amid a busy year for Waters across radio, touring and new music. Her globally syndicated I AM HOUSE Radio, now in its seventh year, reaches around 13 million monthly listeners across 67 stations in 35 countries, including SiriusXM Utopia. The show recently welcomed Grammy-nominated DJ, producer and Toolroom Records founder Mark Knight as a guest mixer, joining a roster that includes Louie Vega, Ultra Naté, David Morales, Todd Terry, Fedde Le Grand, DJ Pierre and more.

Waters also launched her global Still In Love Tour this year while continuing work toward her first full-length artist album in nearly three decades. Through I AM HOUSE Records, she continues to champion house music and its artists, most recently releasing “Dreams,” her collaboration with

X-POSURE, DJ Spen, and Thommy Davis.

An architect of modern dance music, Waters remains one of the genre’s most influential artists, known for classics including “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless),” “100% Pure Love,” and “Destination Calabria.” With 12 Billboard Dance Chart No. 1 records, six ASCAP Songwriter Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and more than 100 million Spotify streams, her influence continues to inspire generations of artists and fans alike.
