On Wednesday at 1:09 p.m. a dense fog advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Thursday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Crenshaw, Escambia, Covington, Mobile and Baldwin counties.
"Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," can be expected according to the weather service. "Local fires across the area producing heavy smoke will enhance the fog and can drastically reduce visibility to near zero. Use extreme caution if you are traveling."
