Families plead for better Alabama prison conditions: ‘We’re asking for basic human rights’

Family members of state inmates wore red T-shirts with the words “Alabama Dept. of Corruptions” to the State House on Wednesday.

Shannon Quinley of Monroe County said they wanted to send a message to the Legislature’s prison oversight committee.
