Federal authorities arrested two people this month after discovering Instagram messages detailing plans to carry out a school shooting, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court.
Katherine Joiner of Wilsonville, Alabama, and Ethan Bassett of Glen, Mississippi, were charged in the U.S. District Court of Mississippi with transmitting threatening communications in interstate commerce.
