Federal loan changes cut aid by up to $46,000 per year for Alabama graduate students

Alabama graduate students may need to find thousands of dollars in additional funding after sweeping changes in federal student loans begin on July 1.

One of the biggest changes is that a lesser number of degree programs will be eligible for professional degree loans, which offer more money than typical graduate degree loans.
