Fentanyl with up to 500,000 potentially lethal doses seized, Huntsville man arrested

A month-long investigation ended in the arrest of a Huntsville man on charges related to what police describe as a “large-scale narcotics” operation.

Michael Fitts, 45, of Huntsville, is charged with drug trafficking and is being held in the Madison County Jail on $1.5 million bond. His May 8 arrest comes after a joint operation by the North Alabama Drug Task Force and Region F of the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force.
