Fernando Mendoza is an early favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award
According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, Mendoza, who the Raiders took with the No. 1 overall pick last week, is priced at +320 to win the award. It is the second lowest (best) odds on the board. Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love, who was the No. 3 pick, is priced at +290.
It makes sense that Mendoza has such low odds. He was the top pick and he plays quarterback. It’s natural.
Mendoza can easily win this award. A big factor, of course, is if veteran Kirk Cousins begins the season as the starter and how much Mendoza actually plays. But if eh gets on the field early, he’s a great bet.
