Flood advisory issued for Southwest Alabama Thursday morning triggered by significant rain

At 5:46 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a flood advisory in effect until 8:45 a.m. for Conecuh, Escambia and Monroe counties.

The weather service informs, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."
