Florida doctor indicted after Alabama man dies when liver ‘believed to be a spleen’ removed during surgery

A Florida doctor has been indicted on criminal charges in the operating room death of an Alabama man.

Dr. Thomas Shaknovsky, 44, is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the August 2024 death of 70-year-old William Bryan of Muscle Shoals.
