Angela Martini has built a career that moves with both elegance and intention. From the fashion world to film production, from authorship to life coaching, the Albanian-Swiss talent has continued to evolve without losing sight of the values that shaped her early life. Born in Shkodër, Albania, and raised in part in Switzerland after moving there with her family at age 9, Martini grew up with the example of two hardworking parents whose determination helped define her own worldview.

Her mother, a biology and chemistry teacher who attended night school to earn her degrees, and her father, an architectural engineer who built a 200-employee company by age 25, instilled in her a mindset grounded in discipline, vision, and perseverance. Those lessons stayed with her as her modeling career expanded internationally, leading to work with major brands and editorial platforms including JCPenney, Macy’s, GQ, Maxim, Esquire, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. In 2010, she was crowned Miss Universe Albania and went on to place sixth at Miss Universe, still the highest placement in the country’s history.

Still, for Martini, achievement has never been only about visibility. Over time, her path has widened to include film production, life coaching, and the release of her 2019 memoir, Love. Hope. Light, published by Simon & Schuster. The book, which honors her mother while tracing a family story shaped by resilience and love, reflects the deeper purpose now driving her creative and professional choices.

Building a Career Across Creative Worlds

Angela Martini has worked across modeling, pageantry and film, each requiring a different kind of presence, performance and discipline. When asked what has been most creatively fulfilling about those worlds and how they connect in her career, she pointed to the unique lesson each one has offered.

“Each space gives me something different.

“Modeling taught me presence, how to communicate without words. Pageantry gave me discipline and a global perspective. Film, especially producing, is where everything comes together, story, emotion, control, and vision.”

But for me, creativity goes beyond any one field. I see life itself as art, the way we think, the way we move, the way we experience things. Everything we live is, in a way, a form of creation.

At this stage, producing fulfills me the most because I’m not just part of someone else’s vision, I’m building my own. That’s where I feel the most aligned creatively.”

Writing From a Place of Depth

Her memoir, Love. Hope. Light., marked a deeply personal turn in her public journey. Framed in part as a tribute to her mother, the book gave Martini a chance to reflect on family, hardship and the kind of strength that often goes unseen. Asked how sharing that story changed her, she described the process as transformative.

“Writing that book was deeply personal for me.

I wanted to honor my mother’s story, because in my eyes, she is one of the most positive and strongest women in the world. What she went through, and how she carried herself through it, shaped everything I am today.

Sharing that story wasn’t just about looking back, it was about giving meaning to it. It changed how I see life. It made me value strength, resilience, and perspective on a much deeper level.

And it also shifted my career choices. I’m no longer drawn to things that are just beautiful on the surface, I want depth, truth, and something that actually means something.”

The Principles Behind Her Coaching Work

Since becoming a certified life coach in 2017, Martini has applied many of the same values that guided her personal and professional growth. Asked what principles she returns to most often with clients facing adversity or trying to reach a new level, she answered with directness and clarity.

“I always come back to three things:

• Self-awareness, you can’t change what you don’t understand
• Responsibility, not blame, but ownership of your life
• Standards, the life you have is a reflection of what you tolerate

I help people see patterns clearly, without emotion distorting the truth. Once you see clearly, decisions become easier.”

What Has Changed in Modeling, and What Has Not

Having worked with major brands, magazines and runway platforms, Martini has seen the modeling industry move through major shifts, especially in the age of social media. But for her, the fundamentals of longevity have remained the same.

“The industry has become more accessible, but also more saturated.

Social media changed everything. It gave power back to individuals, but it also blurred the line between visibility and value.

What hasn’t changed is this: longevity still comes from discipline, professionalism, and how you carry yourself, not just how you look.”

Producing Stories With Real Weight

Though modeling helped establish her public profile, Martini says producing is where she feels most creatively anchored now. With two films already produced and a third in development, along with plans for a reality series, she sees the role as an opportunity to shape the message as much as the medium.

“Producing is about control of narrative, and that matters to me.

I’m drawn to stories about real relationships, loyalty, power dynamics, and identity. Especially stories that show strength in women, but in a real, unfiltered way, not a perfect version.

I want to create projects that feel honest… where people can see themselves in it.”

Moving Between Worlds With Intention

Martini’s life between Albania and Switzerland gave her more than a multicultural background. It gave her a dual lens through which to understand people, ambition and emotional truth. Asked how that upbringing shaped her, she described it as one of her greatest advantages.

“Growing up between Albania and Switzerland shaped everything.

It gave me both emotional depth and structure. One side is very heart-driven, loyal, intense. The other is precise, disciplined, and strategic.

I don’t see it as two identities; I see it as an advantage. It allows me to move between worlds and understand people on different levels.”

Advice for the Next Generation

For young women hoping to build meaningful careers in entertainment, Martini’s advice centers less on performance and more on standards. She stressed the importance of clarity, boundaries and substance over surface.

“Be very clear about what you want, but even clearer about what you will not accept.

You don’t need to prove yourself to everyone. Focus on building real value, not just attention.

And protect your energy. This industry can drain you if you don’t have boundaries.”

Lessons From Miss Universe

Her experience representing Albania at Miss Universe 2010 placed her on one of the world’s most visible stages. But the lessons she carried from that moment were less about image and more about internal development.

“Miss Universe taught me how to handle pressure and how to represent something bigger than myself.

It also taught me that external validation has a limit. After a certain point, you realize the real work is internal, who you are when no one is watching.

That understanding shaped everything that came after.”

Staying Grounded in a Demanding Life

Between her roles as a model, producer, author and life coach, Martini’s schedule and responsibilities span several industries. When asked how she stays balanced, she pointed inward, describing grounding not as a routine but as a mindset.

“For me, balance comes from inner work.

I spend a lot of time being aware of my thoughts, understanding my mind, and not letting it control me unconsciously. That awareness is what keeps me grounded.

Spirituality plays a big role in my life, not in a rigid way, but as a tool for clarity and strength. It helps me stay centered no matter what is happening around me.

I’ve always been inspired by Bruce Lee and his philosophy, especially the idea of mastering yourself from within. That’s something I practice daily.”

The Legacy She Wants to Leave

As Martini looks ahead, her goals are less about accumulating titles and more about creating impact. Whether through film, writing, coaching or public presence, she wants her work to leave people with something lasting.

“I want people to feel something when they experience anything I create.

Not just to watch or consume, but to walk away with a thought, a realization, or a shift in perspective.

Even if it’s something simple, said in a different way… I want it to create an ‘aha’ moment. Something that stays with them.

If I can do that, make people think deeper, feel more, and see things differently, then I’ve done what I’m here to do.”
