Former Troy forward Victor Valdes will follow coach Scott Cross to Georgia Tech, he announced late Friday.
The 6-foot-7 Valdes, who has one year of eligibility remaining, helped the Trojans to a second straight NCAA tournament berth this past season before entering the transfer portal following Cross’ departure. The Monterrey, Mexico, native tied for the team lead in scoring at 14.8 points per game and also averaged 4.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.
