Gov. Kay Ivey reverses course, calls special session in wake of Supreme Court ruing

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey said Friday that she would call a special session in an effort to redistrict the state’s congressional maps.

The decision reversed her earlier statement that she would wait for the Supreme Court to settle the state’s pending legal arguments.
