‘Grief felt across Montgomery’ as 13-year-old boy drowns in closed city pool

A child has died after he was pulled unresponsive from a city community pool in Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire and Rescue was dispatched just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday to a water emergency at McIntyre Community Center on Hugh Street, said Montgomery fire Chief of Operations Craig Carr.
