Hartselle star Asher Doepel wins People’s Choice award

Hartselle’s Asher Doepel is the AL.com People’s Choice as the state’s high school baseball player of the year.

Doepel, who led his team to back-to-back Class 6A state titles, outlasted seven other players in the 8-man AL.com bracket for fan voting.
