Heartbreaking new scam targets pet lovers: How to avoid losing money

The Federal Trade Commission is warning Americans of an ongoing scam targeting animal lovers and those with missing pets. The warning says scammers are manipulating pet images, videos, and even using AI-generated deepfakes to trick targets into sending money or personal information to the scammers.
