Historic Cullman building beloved for its ‘grand allure’ destroyed in fire

A historic mercantile building in downtown Cullman dating to the 1890s burned to the ground on Monday, leaving business owners, government officials and history buffs mourning the loss of the last timber-frame building in the downtown business district.
