Hotel Xcaret wedding packages: costs, venues & what’s included

1 month ago 28

Planning a wedding at Hotel Xcaret starts with understanding one important distinction: not every venue associated with an “Xcaret wedding” is located at Hotel Xcaret.

There are two different options. Couples can celebrate at the hotel properties — Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte or La Casa de la Playa — or choose a venue located inside Xcaret Park.

This distinction affects the packages, venues and accommodation requirements.

Hotel wedding packages — Encanto and Paraíso — require at least 80% of wedding guests to stay at the corresponding Hotel Xcaret property for a minimum of three nights.

Xcaret Park packages — Amor y Mar and Río de Amor — use venues inside Xcaret Park and do not have the same Hotel Xcaret accommodation requirement.

As an authorized wedding provider at Hotel Xcaret, Magic Dream Weddings helps couples understand these differences before choosing a package and venue.

Hotel Xcaret vs. Xcaret Park weddings

The easiest way to understand the options is to separate them into two groups.

Hotel Xcaret weddings use the Encanto and Paraíso packages and venues associated with the hotel properties, including Caleta Fuego, Cuevas Kayak, Explanada Pirámide and the Ecumenical Chapel.

Because these are hotel packages, at least 80% of guests must stay at the corresponding Hotel Xcaret property for a minimum of three nights.

Xcaret Park weddings use the Amor y Mar and Río de Amor packages. Venues such as Las Pozas, Hacienda Henequenera, El Caracol and La Isla are located inside Xcaret Park rather than on the hotel grounds.

These park packages do not require 80% of guests to stay at Hotel Xcaret.

This is important when researching venues online. Las Pozas or La Isla, for example, may appear in searches for Hotel Xcaret weddings, but both belong to Xcaret Park.

Hotel Xcaret wedding packages: Encanto & Paraíso

Encanto

Encanto is designed for intimate weddings of 2–15 guests, including the couple.

Pricing starts at $6,100 USD at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte and $6,400 USD at La Casa de la Playa.

It includes the ceremony venue, symbolic ceremony minister, hotel-specific gazebo, floral arrangement, chairs, audio and microphone service, personal flowers for the couple and up to 45 minutes of soloist music.

Instead of a private reception, Encanto includes a restaurant dinner reservation and sparkling wine toast.

Encanto is capped at 15 guests, so there is no additional-guest rate.

Because Encanto is a hotel package, at least 80% of guests must stay at the corresponding hotel for a minimum of three nights.

Paraíso

Paraíso is a full-reception package for weddings starting at 30 guests.

At Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte, pricing starts at $16,750 USD, with additional guests at $220 USD each. At La Casa de la Playa, pricing starts at $21,500 USD, with additional guests at $240 USD.

The package adds a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and a one-hour open bar, followed by a three-course plated dinner and four-hour open bar.

It also includes personal flowers, wedding-party flowers, soloist music, four hours of DJ service and a 16×16 ft. wooden dance floor.

Like Encanto, Paraíso requires at least 80% of wedding guests to stay at the corresponding Hotel Xcaret property for a minimum of three nights.

Wedding venues at Hotel Xcaret

These venues are associated with the hotel properties themselves and should not be confused with Xcaret Park venues.

Caleta Fuego

A sheltered cove combining calm water and sandy shoreline. It can be used for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions.

Cuevas Kayak

An intimate cave setting suitable for ceremonies, cocktails and smaller receptions. Its covered environment can also be useful when considering weather contingencies.

Explanada Pirámide (Xpiral)

An open-air terrace located at the base of the Xpiral Pyramid, providing a distinctive architectural backdrop for ceremonies.

Ecumenical Chapel

Located at Hotel Xcaret Arte, this covered, non-denominational chapel offers ocean views and is used for ceremonies.

Playón Pirámide

A beach-adjacent outdoor ceremony space located near the Xpiral Pyramid.

Capilla de Todos los Ángeles

A Catholic chapel at the top of the Xpiral Pyramid with views of the surrounding jungle and Caribbean Sea. Catholic ceremonies require an additional fee.

Xcaret Park wedding packages: Amor y Mar & Río de Amor

Xcaret Park packages are different from Hotel Xcaret packages. Their venues are located inside the park and do not require 80% of guests to stay at Hotel Xcaret.

Amor y Mar

Amor y Mar is available for weddings of 30 or more guests at Las Pozas or Hacienda Henequenera.

Pricing starts at $19,000 USD, with additional guests at $190 USD each.

The package includes the ceremony, minister, flowers, chairs and audio, followed by a cocktail hour, three-course plated dinner and four-hour open bar.

Personal flowers, wedding-party flowers, soloist music, DJ service and a dance floor are also included.

Because Amor y Mar belongs to Xcaret Park, guests are not required to stay at Hotel Xcaret.

Río de Amor

Río de Amor is designed for celebrations beginning at 70 guests.

The ceremony takes place at El Caracol and the reception moves to La Isla.

Pricing starts at $25,000 USD, with additional guests at $210 USD each.

The package includes a Prehispanic welcome, personal and wedding-party flowers, plated dinner, five-hour open bar, five hours of DJ service and a wooden dance floor.

As an Xcaret Park package, Río de Amor does not have the Hotel Xcaret accommodation requirement.

Wedding venues inside Xcaret Park

These venues belong to Xcaret Park, not Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte.

Las Pozas

Las Pozas combines natural pools, white sand and a stone altar with the Caribbean Sea as its backdrop. It is available with the Amor y Mar package.

Hacienda Henequenera

Inspired by traditional Yucatán haciendas, Hacienda Henequenera features a large covered patio and is the second main venue option for Amor y Mar.

El Caracol and La Isla

These venues form the ceremony-to-reception experience of Río de Amor.

El Caracol, a circular structure inspired by Maya architecture, serves as the ceremony location. The celebration then moves to La Isla, a large palapa-covered reception space integrated into Xcaret Park’s natural surroundings.

Chapel of Guadalupe

A Catholic ceremony chapel located inside a natural cenote within Xcaret Park.

Chapel San Francisco de Asís

A Catholic chapel located at one of the highest points of Xcaret Park, with panoramic views toward the Caribbean.

How much does a Hotel Xcaret wedding cost?

Final costs depend on guest count, venue, ceremony type and additional services.

For example, a Paraíso wedding for 50 guests at Hotel Xcaret México would start at $16,750 USD plus 20 additional guests at $220 each, for approximately $21,150 USD before upgrades and accommodations.

An Amor y Mar wedding for 40 guests would be approximately $20,900 USD before extras.

A Río de Amor wedding for 80 guests would be approximately $27,100 USD before additional services.

These examples are illustrative rather than formal quotes.

All four packages include a symbolic ceremony by default. A legally binding ceremony adds $1,500 USD plus the applicable apostille fee.

Catholic ceremonies at Capilla de Todos los Ángeles, Chapel of Guadalupe or Chapel San Francisco add $1,500 USD, while priest services are arranged separately.

Photography, video, flowers, additional decor, entertainment and outside vendors can also increase the final cost.

Hotel Xcaret accommodation requirements

Accommodation is one of the biggest differences between the two wedding options.

Encanto and Paraíso are Hotel Xcaret packages. Both require at least 80% of wedding guests to stay at the corresponding hotel property for a minimum of three nights.

This requirement should be considered early, particularly for destination weddings where guests are traveling from the United States or Canada.

Amor y Mar and Río de Amor are Xcaret Park packages. Because the venues belong to the park rather than the hotel, the Hotel Xcaret accommodation requirement does not apply.

Guests therefore have more flexibility regarding where they stay, although transportation to and from Xcaret Park should be considered during planning.

In short:

Encanto + Paraíso = Hotel Xcaret = minimum 80% of guests staying for at least three nights.

Amor y Mar + Río de Amor = Xcaret Park = no Hotel Xcaret accommodation requirement.

Which Xcaret wedding option fits your celebration?

For an intimate wedding of up to 15 guests, Encanto provides a hotel-based option without a large reception.

For groups of 30 or more wanting a complete celebration on the hotel property, Paraíso includes the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

Couples interested in Xcaret Park’s natural and cultural settings can consider Amor y Mar at Las Pozas or Hacienda Henequenera.

For celebrations beginning at 70 guests, Río de Amor offers a ceremony at El Caracol followed by a larger reception at La Isla.

Catholic couples also have options in both locations. Capilla de Todos los Ángeles is associated with the hotel properties, while Chapel of Guadalupe and Chapel San Francisco are located inside Xcaret Park.

Understanding where each venue belongs before booking helps couples compare the correct packages, accommodation requirements and guest logistics.
