Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale was invented by Birmingham, Ala., entrepreneur Sidney Lee in 1901. In the mid-1980s, the Buffalo Rock Company began selling its signature soda in aluminum cans, and in 2001, the company offered limited-edition bottles to commemorate its namesake ginger ale's 100th anniversary.
