Janet Jackson Set for Special Appearance at 2026 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame Gala

Five-time GRAMMY Award winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and global icon Janet Jackson is set to make a special appearance at the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum’s 2026 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame Gala on Friday, May 8, at The Beverly Hilton. The evening will celebrate the induction of her landmark album, Rhythm Nation 1814, into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame.

The Gala has expanded its performer lineup, adding multi-GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Erykah Badu, Grammy Award-winning father-daughter duo Fyütch & Aura V, and multi-Grammy Award-nominated artist Taylor Hanson.

They join a list of previously announced performers, including George Clinton, Heart’s founding members Ann and Nancy Wilson, Josh Groban, Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones, a cappella gospel sextet Take 6, and Teddy Swims.

The performances will pay tribute to the 2026 inducted recordings:

  • Fyütch & Aura V will perform Ella Jenkins’ “You’ll Sing a Song, and I’ll Sing a Song”.
  • George Clinton, Funkadelic guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight, and Erykah Badu will honor Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain.
  • Ann and Nancy Wilson will perform selections from Heart’s inducted recording, Dreamboat Annie.
  • Lucinda Williams will perform songs from her inducted recording, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road.
  • Take 6 will perform The Soul Stirrers’ inducted recording, “Jesus Gave Me Water”.
  • Taylor Hanson will perform a tribute to Nick Drake’s Pink Moon.

Additionally, Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award recipient Norah Jones, Josh Groban, and Teddy Swims will perform as part of a tribute to this year’s Visionary Of Music Award recipient, Warner Records.

The Gala celebrates a group of 14 recordings inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame, spanning nearly a century of music. This year’s inducted titles include 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me, Radiohead’s OK Computer, and recordings by Alice Coltrane, Bertha “Chippie” Hill, Eric B. & Rakim, Selena, and The Rouse Brothers.

Esteemed journalist Anthony Mason returns as host for the show, which will be produced by former GRAMMY Awards Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich, alongside Renato Basile, Chantel Sausedo, and Lynne Sheridan. Musical direction will be handled by GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award-winning composer, producer, and conductor Cheche Alara.

An online auction featuring guitars signed by major artists, including Charli xcx, ROSÉ, and Sabrina Carpenter, along with Platinum tickets to the 2027 GRAMMY Awards, will run from May 5 to May 21. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the GRAMMY Museum.
