Cultural icon Mr. Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins launched his highly anticipated Las Vegas return, “Legend of the Snowman,” with a triumphant opening weekend on May 1 and May 2 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, delivering two packed nights of hit-filled performances, elevated production, and surprise guest appearances that immediately cemented the show as one of the city’s hottest tickets.
Following the complete sellout of Jeezy’s first Las Vegas residency in 2025, fan demand for his return was already running high. As previously reported, tickets for the initial 10 announced dates of “Legend of the Snowman” were selling so quickly, 11 more dates were added by popular demand.
Across both opening nights, Jeezy delivered an electrifying performance drawn from his multi-platinum catalog, giving fans a powerful live experience anchored by a striking Las Vegas-style presentation. “Legend of the Snowman” marks the first time Mr. Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins has performed with a set design of this magnitude, and the visual execution proved to be one of the production’s defining elements.
Opening weekend also featured major surprise appearances from some of hip-hop’s most celebrated names. YG, the multi-platinum-selling culture-shifter from Compton, joined Jeezy onstage for a performance of “My N*gga,” while 2 Chainz, one of hip-hop’s most charismatic and successful figures and a recent New York Times bestselling author, appeared for a crowd-moving rendition of “Super Freak.” Returning to the stage was the Color of Noize Orchestra, composed and conducted by Derrick Hodge and musically directed by Adam Blackstone.
The audience reflected the show’s wide cultural reach, with a star-studded crowd that included future NFL Hall of Famer Marshawn Lynch, Demarcus Cousins, John Wall, ABC News anchor Rocsi Diaz, actress, bestselling author, and beloved lifestyle personality Tabitha Brown, comedian and media personality Kev On Stage, and more. After their surprise onstage appearances, 2 Chainz and YG posted up in VIP alongside DJ Drama and DJ Ace to enjoy the full show, adding even more energy to an already electric opening weekend on their respective evenings.
“This wasn’t an opening weekend, this was a welcome home party. Las Vegas, we home. The love was real, the energy was all the way up, and the city showed us exactly why we belong here. It’s extremely satisfying to see this vision come to life the way I always knew it could. I appreciate everybody that came out and rocked with us, and big salute to my brothers YG and 2 Chainz for pulling up and showing love. And to all the artists getting ready to come through, just know, we getting started. It’s only going up from here.” – Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins
The buzz across Las Vegas following opening weekend has been clear, “Legend of the Snowman” is a do-not-miss live experience, with more special guest surprises expected throughout the residency’s run.
Further elevating the visual identity of opening weekend, Mr. Jenkins stepped out in striking black Amiri tuxedos that brought a refined, fashion-forward edge to the production. On night two, he raised the bar in an elegantly embellished look accented with rhinestone detailing that caught the light with every movement and perfectly matched the glamour of the evening. It was sharp, elevated, and unmistakably on theme, a tuxedo with a light chance of snow.
With packed crowds, standout production, and overwhelming audience demand, “Legend of the Snowman” has arrived as a major force on the Las Vegas entertainment calendar.
