Two players on this list are returning to the Jets. Geno Smith is a former Jets second round pick. He played with the team from 2013 through 2016. Demario Davis is a former Jets third round pick. This will be his third stint with the team. His initial tenure was 2012 through 2015. He departed for the Cleveland Browns in free agency. A year later he was brought back to New York as the Jets traded first round bust Calvin Pryor to Cleveland to reacquire Davis. Demario’s second tenure only lasted a single year, 2017. He signed with the New Orleans Saints after that season where he played until re-signing with the Jets.
Both Smith and Davis are reclaiming the numbers they previously wore with the Jets.
