Adam Schefter of ESPN adds some additional insight on the decision to cancel.

Jets had all the information they already needed on David Bailey; they felt there was no reason for a visit. https://t.co/EzMmYcen5t

Teams are allowed to bring 30 prospects without local ties to their facility before the NFL Draft. These visits can include everything from personal interviews to medical examinations to X’s and O’s talk and more.`

I’m sure speculation will run wild about what this means, but frankly it is impossible to know. The Jets have been speaking with prospects throughout this entire process. They got the chance to interview potential draftees at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. Some might think this makes the Jets less likely to take Bailey. Others might view it as a head fake to throw the rest of the league off because they really like Bailey.

I personally wouldn’t read too much into it either way. Teams only get 30 visits, and their Draft boards have more than 30 players. They are obviously considering more players than they bring to the facility. These visits are done as part of the evaluation process. The Jets have clearly decided they either like or dislike Bailey. Which of the two is a matter of pure guesswork.
