It’s been nearly 30 years since Mobile court officer Charles Craig Greenwald was shot and killed at Government Plaza, but his memory loomed large Wednesday as the county dedicated the newly opened Liberty Park in downtown Mobile.
“It’s a wonderful thing the county did in remembering my husband after all of these years and the other officers, too, who sacrificed,” said his widow, Maria Greenwald, who attended the ceremony to accept the dedication.
