Man who won Florida’s annual python hunt captured ‘an astonishing’ number

Just the phrase “invasive pythons” should have us quaking in our snake boots. In the Florida Everglades, Burmese pythons have taken over much of the habitat once used by other forms of wildlife, endangering numerous species. The problem is so overwhelming that an annual hunt is held to keep the population under control. This year, the hunter who caught the most snakes was Tom Rahill who captured “an astonishing 96 Burmese pythons,” according to an article by A-Z Animals.
