Maxo Kream has released his anticipated album O.Y.N which stands for “Old YN” which represents his transition from his younger, wilder days as a young street hustler to an established, matured man, artist, and entrepreneur. By adding “Old” to the term, Maxo bridges the gap between his gritty past and his current status as a rap veteran. O.Y.N pushes Maxo’s sound into new territory while reinforcing his status as one of hip-hop’s most authentic and respected voices. Listen HERE.

Elsewhere on O.Y.N are Isaiah Falls on “Cum Over,” Denzel Curry on “30 N Dirty,” and Josh Kream on “How I’m Coming”. On the album, Maxo says: “This album embodies the past, present, and the future. All the personas and the Trigga Maxo legacy”.
The O.Y.N album artwork is designed by CHITO INTERNATIONAL – a famous artist who has designed for Y3 & Givenchy. JPEGMAFIA executive produced the album and creates a volatile sonic landscape where his experimental avant-garde sound highlights Maxo’s grimy, early-2000s street trap. JPEG shifts his style on more vulnerable records like the aforementioned “Time Out” which touches on Maxo’s fathers passing as he reflects on a trip to Lagos, Nigeria.
Maxo Kream has accumulated over 1.2 billion global streams and a catalog that includes critically acclaimed titles, Punken, Brandon Banks, Weight of the World and Personification. He has earned critical acclaim from Pitchfork, NPR, Complex, FADER, and many others, and collaborated with Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Don Toliver, Freddie Gibbs, Benny The Butcher, Anderson .Paak, Babyface Ray, and many more.
About Maxo Kream: Maxo Kream (Emekwane Ogugua Biosah, Jr.) was born in Houston and raised in nearby Alief, where he got involved with gangs and supported himself with activity that led to a criminal record. He was drawn to recording music in high school, inspired by his everyday life, and first gained attention outside his region with a highly personalized revamp of Kendrick Lamar’s “Rigamortis.” Retro Card and Quicc Strikes, Maxo’s first two mixtapes, were self-released respectively in 2012 and 2013. He then connected with the TSO label for 2015’s #Maxo187, 2016’s The Persona Tape, and 2018’s Punken. The last volume in this run was Maxo’s first recording to register with Billboard, most notably on the Independent Albums and Heatseekers charts.
The rapper consequently made his major-label debut in 2019 with Brandon Banks. That album, featuring contributions from Travis Scott and Megan Thee Stallion, entered the Billboard 200 at number 68. In 2021, he issued Weight of the World, a deeply ruminative set led by the Tyler, The Creator collaboration “Big Persona.”
Maxo maintained momentum throughout 2023 and 2024, steadily releasing singles and collaborations that showcased his evolving artistry. In 2024, he reunited with Tyler, The Creator on “Cracc Era,” their second collaboration following “Big Persona.” That same year, Maxo took full creative control by self-releasing Personification in November 2024 through independent label Stomp Down, marking his first project independent of RCA Records. The album featured notable collaborations with Denzel Curry on “Triggaman” and BigXthaPlug on “Smokey,” while exploring three distinct personas that represent different facets of his identity and artistic journey. The partnership with Tyler continued into 2025 with the release of “Cracc At 15,” further cementing their creative chemistry and Maxo’s place as one of Houston’s most compelling storytellers and one of rap’s most authentic voices.
