After that initial wave, there are always some big names and very good players still sitting on the open market. Sometimes it’s the player’s age or just general wear and tear that makes them linger on the open market, while other times the player may be just holding out for what they believe is a deal that better fits their talent level. Still other times, a big name is out there but coming off a season-ending injury, and teams are just waiting to see if that player is indeed going to be healthy going into the next season. Former Miami Dolphins players still on the market include Rasul Douglas, Tyreek Hill, Jonnu Smith, and Calais Campbell.
With all of that in mind, here is the latest list of the best available free agents currently on the open market (I have left off previous Dolphins and QBs):
