Minkah Fitzpactick nearing a return for the New York Jets, Mathis signs new deal

After leaving the first half of a Week 1 game, New York Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick may be on his way back to playing.

Fitzpatrick left the Jets Week 1 game against the Titans with a groin injury and has been out for the last two weeks. Head coach Aaron Glenn confirms that Fitzpatrick may have a “really good chance” to return for New York’s game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
